In the begining

I want to write in my journal everyday. Especially after I had Jaina. I like to see the world through her eyes, and since it's her first time, I feel like it's my first time. It's amazing. Jaina was born on January 1st 2013, in Scottsdale Osborn Heathcare Hospital, at 1:58am. She weighed 6 pounds 8 ounces  and was 19 inches long.
On December 30th, I was very sick. It was like the worst allergy headache/cold symptons I've had in a while. I related it to the hormones, thinking it would go away by tomorrow. On the next morning, the Headache was gone and in it's place a strong stomach pain. I didn't know what a contraction was at this point so Tyler insisted I go to the hospital. I shower and got ready to go and we made it to the hopital around 8am. We walked in the main enterance not knowing where to go and a man at the front desk knew I was looking got the "birthing suites" which was a different building. He looked at Tyler and back and me and he said, "Boy or girl"
I said, "Girl"
He replied jokingly, "Lets hope she looks like her mother, If not, we have an excellent plastic surgeon on call"
Tyler and I walked down to the next building to the birthing suites and after the nurses checked by vitals and concluded that my blood pressure was too high, they decided to admit me since I was already 4cm dialated. Apparently every high blood pressure momma knows High BP=Magnesium. This medicine is the worst. It makes you feel lousy. They wanted to induce labor, because my blood pressure was worse than Cheech and Chong and wanted to stay high. They didn't want it to "hurt" the baby (plus, my baby is get drugged with Mag too which I won't find out till later).
Mind you, I get to the hospital at 8am and I won't see my baby girl till the next morning. It was a long day nurses coming in every hour to check my vitals and they got me all hooked up to every machine they had in the room. My dialation took a while and didn't speed up until they put this HUGE "Peanut" rubber ball between my knees. I'm not an idiot, and I'm already drugging my baby, so I get an epideral. Jim Gilbert is an anesthesiologist at this location, but since he does surgeries, he recommend this other guy (Didn't catch the name, but hey Jim approved) This guy is awesome he make all the pain, happy. He hads me a button and says to push it when I want more pain killers. My nurse comes in and says she doesn't like patients drugging themselves and takes it away from me (so guess who was to walk back and forth from my bed to their desk to appease me?) Dr. Morowitz, my gyno at this point, breaks my water, which is a strange feeling in itself, and tells me I need to push when a contraction comes. This process takes longer than I though, just over a hour. The whole time I'm pushing I'm trying to get Jaina's tiny (but to me Giant) head through. Once that makes it out she slides all the way out.
Isn't she perfect. At this time in the process I didn't think so either. But right now, looking at this picture, I can't stop thinking she is the most beautiful baby ever!
